Our Story

Growing up around the Metro Detroit area, we’ve witnessed both the pride and the challenges of this city. Founded by Thomas Yu, Ethan Hu, Amin Nasir, and Bora Ozalp, and led by Ethan Hu, we are a group of high school students who believe in the power of community and change at the ground level.

The313co was founded with the goal of building a more connected Detroit, where youth take initiative and responsibility for creating a better future. With every donation, outreach event, and bag we distribute, we move closer to our vision of Detroit — where everyone has access to basic needs.
